Just in case anyone is interested, here's a few pics of my entire fleet, except for my other 76 2002. The 02 is still in the PO's garage in Kerrisdale.

76 2002 - I've owned this one for 3.5 years, but am in the process of selling it right now. Should be picked up by the end of August, or early September. Makes me a bit sad, but I have plans for the next one already.

81 RHD 323i - This one I bought last summer, with the intent of tearing it apart, and rebuilding from the bottom. That is WELL underway, and it should be done by the winter 2005.

First day it came to the shop:

Couple months later, after sandblasting:

Currently in the body shop. Was supposed to be primed today, and will be in colour by Wednesday or Thursday.

77 630csi/80 635csi - This is the next one, after the 323i is done. The 77 is a 3 owner, super low mileage, rust free car, with no drivetrain.
http://www.seamsperfect.ca/pics/635csi/630driverside2.jpg

This is the donor car. It's a 5 speed, 3.46LSD equipped, Euro spec(218hp) 635csi. The shell is super rusty, and it's been sitting for a long time. Has lots of great parts though, which will be swapped into the 77.
http://www.seamsperfect.ca/pics/635csi/Euro%206.JPG

83 633csi - This is my daily driver. It's a California car(as are both my other 6ers), with 5 speed, and 3.07LSD. Koni shocks, but not many other mods yet. I have a set of Koni swaybars for it, and soon to have a set of 16" Mille Miglia MMII Sports for it. I will likely install a set of sport springs, and a 635csi airdam, as well as have the paint touched up. Not a huge project, but I want this car to be a clean daily ride, and weekend driving school car.

Thanks guys. Upholstery and trim is kind of the name of the game around here at my shop, so it makes sense that my interiors are a little snazzier than the average guys. I just sold the complete interior out of the 02 to a friend of mine, and the rest of the car to another friend in Alberta. Watch for a pretty special interior in the 323i soon.

suh-weet! I used to have an 81 633csi. I loved that car but it was seriously rusted underneath and couldn't have been saved without serious dough. I miss it sometimes....

My Euro 635 is seriously rusted underneath, and would require serious dough to fix it as well. That's why I found the smashed banana yellow 630. It is not only the cleanest Karmann bodies coupe I have ever seen, but likely the cleanest BMW I have ever seen! And I've seen a LOT of BMW's.

I used to drive an E28 535i, and it was a great car. The 6ers are just a little prettier version of the 5's. Wonderful cars.

We work with anything. Leather is no problem at all. Here's some Alpina cloth/leather seats we put together for a client's Alpina B7 Turbo.

Excellent work, keep it up. I always like to see people taking time to do up old cars right.

That would be me, yes. We were parting out a blue 528e if I remember correctly.

There's a few more on my site, but it needs an update very soon. I've laid the update out, and my HTML guy will publish it this week I hope.

Oh no, it's Big Al!

Watch out for this guy, fellas. One look at one of his slick custom interiors and you'll start entertaining all sorts of expensive ideas! Danger! He's a bad bad influence! :D

something like an all recaro-black cloth interior with full race cage???? hahaha

Hey Kyle! I didn't know you were on this board. How's things? Find someone to paint the touring after Louis broke his leg? Chris is FINALLY painting my 323i this week. He's only had it since March! I haven't pushed him on it though, and the work is second to none. I'm actually dreaming about seeing it now.

FastBMW, an all black Recaro interior is pretty easy stuff. In all honesty, I ALWAYS try and talk people out of a simple black interior. It's pretty boring, and we can do a lot nicer.

yeah well thats cool. how much would you guys charge for a full custom interior?

There's a lot of variables there, of course. Leather vs. cloth vs. vinyl, wool carpet vs. nylon carpet, etc. An interior like in my 2002, which has everything new except headliner, would cost in the $4k-4500 range. That's very nice vinyl, me supplying the core Recaro seats, new wool carpet, leather shift boot, leather E brake boot, trimmed out B pillars, and all installed. Leather and some cloth will add to that price, but we could also do it cheaper.

Al hooked me up with a fender for my e21. Thanks man! If I ever save up enough for a redone interior, you know who I'll be calling. Can't wait to see pix of the 323i.

You have an E21? I love E21's!!! That was my first and favourite bimmer. I had a 320is with a rebuilt motor, eibach pros, and a strut bar. Of course, I always dreamed of having a 323i. I love the euro bumpers etc... So light and so fun. Too bad mine rusted away :(

Al, I just wish your 323i was LHD.

Drake,

Yeah, I remember that! It came from my buddy Tony down in Portland. Small world, eh? Do you still have the E21?

Spalding,

I considered converting mine over to LHD, but I opted not to for the sheer uniqueness of owning a RHD car. I've got several other cars to drive, so practicality was of no concern with this one.

Drake,

Got your email. I will reply as soon as I can, thanks.

Yup, found me a new paint and body shop. I feel your pain of anticipation. My guy's had the car for going on twelve weeks now. Body guys are all the same: artists at heart, and horrible time managers! I know it'll be great when it's done, but it'd be nice to pick up the pace a bit!

Can't wait to see the 323 when it's done. What colour will she be?

How's this? This is the actual paint, in the actual can it came in. BMW paint code 138 = Zinnoberrot.

Yup, still got it. My dad got into a fender bender and I need to replace the front clip and attach a new wing. So she's sitting and waiting.

Little update on my 633.

Since I started this thread, the car has had the following replaced:

All 4 front control arms
Rear pitman arms
Rear subframe mounts
Koni rear shocks
Koni swaybars
Clutch slave
Fan clutch
In tank pump
Rear pads(Jurid)
Rear rotors
Front flex hoses
Front rebuilt 750il calipers
302mm 750il front rotors
750il pads(Pagid)
16x7.5" Mille Miglia MMII's
225/45/16 Falken FK451 front
245/45/16 Falken FK451 rear

Koni front struts are on the way, as are ST springs. I'm also planning out the interior, using manual E30 sport seats
