Well I got my car back today, as you all probably know from my frantic Sat. e mail we had to wait for a friggin bushing that no one had on Saturday.
Heres the work Al did for me:
4 Falken ZE512's at $88 each, mounted, balanced, new stem, tire levy inc.
Replace right side control arm and bushing.
Replace rear rotors and pads.
Replace diff fluid with Redline.
Check everything under the car.
Answer about 4000 questions from yours truly, not sure how he felt about that....
Overall a very satisfying experience. Final invoice came out as quoted. And since he purchased my spare set of 14" BBS rims he took that off the total.
Its a bit far away for me to go but since I am not working North Van. to Surrey is fine.
Whats nice is I got tons of free advice and tips, Al has a wealth of knowledge and info. about BMW's and I got my moneys worth! Not to mention , how many shops can you actually watch the guys work and walk under the lift to inspect your chassis? (oops, maybe I shouldnt have said that)
Plus a tour of the upholstery shop and a talk with the guy (forgot his name already...)that works for Al making carpet sets etc. Very cool place to spend a few hours.
One last thing, last week when I got my tires put on i drove staright home, when I parked the car I noticed a small dent on the upper fender. Now I know it was not there before but cannot say for certain it was done at Al's shop. Without pointing fingers I spoke with Al about it and he offered to get the Dent pulling dudes in next time I came by for something. Very fair thing to do.
Just wish there was a coffee shop close by.....
