Got the latest issue of grassroots motorsports magazine. They have an excellent e30 318is project car. They paid $700 bucks for it and gonna rebuild it and supercharge it too!

Here are some quick details from the article:

Baseline hp & torque:
119.5 hp @5600rpm 118.8 lb/ft @4500 (Wheel hp & torque)

0 to 60: 9.52 seconds (this was done in florida when it was hot and muggy)

After replacing stock plug wires:
125.7 hp @ 5800rpm 121.8 lb/ft @ 4650 rpm

After replacing intake filter with K&N cone:
Negative 5 horsepower.

Stock intake with brand new OEM filter:
126.7 hp & 123.9 lb/ft (stock is most of the time best!)

Stock intake with K&N panel filter:
+0.6 hp & + 0.5 lb/ft torque

Turner/conforti chip
+3 hp

Addition of supersprint exhaust
131 hp @ 5900rpm.

After all the mods: 0 to 60 dropped to 8.45 sec.

Interesting, I always had a panel K & N and thought they helped even if its marginal. The TMS chip thing pisses me off. I just dropped $350 Cdn. on one, this will be my second one in 6 years. Off to the dyno soon with stock chip installed, then TMS chip. They advertise +14 hp, I highly doubt it. I wonder what kind of plug wires they used, do they say in the article?

Magnecor but they stressed usually plug wires have no performance gain unless your previous wires were old, broken or had a problem with them.

That's exactly what I've done to my car minus the spark plug wires. I've done 0 to 60 times with mine and I come up with 8.5 - 9.0. It's odd the supersprint only added 1 hp. I swear I could feel a difference when I added mine, about the same as with the JC chip.

but arn't your running the really heavy kopi's? the diameter of the wheel is bigger, and its heavier so i think that might be your difference in 0-60 right htere depending on how heavy those htings actualy are... i just hear they're beasts but i coudl be wrong.

They're not that heavy, (21lbs) they're lighter than E36/E46 M3 wheels. And the rim/tire diameter is the same as oem. They might slow me down a 1/10th or so.
