Just installed the prolumen 5000k HID lights that I received today. All in all went very well, just took some time to figure out where to mount the suckers. I put the driver side ballast just infront of the ABS unit on the hump, the passenger side I mounted to the side fender beside the shock mount. They really light up the road and the car looks great from the outside.

The HIDs look a lot brighter in real life then what you see here. They're a bit dark on purpose so you can at least see the output without washing out the entire picture :)

PS. Does anyone know how I can adjust my US Ellips, the passenger side is a bit off.

Looks great! where did you buy and how much?
If I'm not happy with the Osram Silverstars if and when my new EE's arrive I'll try the HID set up.

Hey Mike, I got them from a guy named "habbie" on bimmerforums.com in the group buy section. There a couple more guys that bought the same kit as well but instead the 6000k set, a bit bluish/purplish looking, not as bright but has more color. They were $329 CDN shipped and include a lifetime warranty.

The lights really light up the road compared to the halogen bulbs. You can take a look when I come get the lamin-x off you :).

Nice work. Are those Euro Ellips? or are they US.

I want some.

US Ellips. Hiro has a 6000k kit in his euro ellips I believe, different kit.

My us ellips suck the big one. I don't even get close to that beam pattern with mine.

Mine are dull and when it is dark I have to high beam it everywhere. I would love a HID kit.

Contact "habbie" on the bimmerforums site. It was the "prolumen gb" originally posted by vtbimmer.

Another option is you can use 9005 bulbs in your 9006 housing, that's a big improvement over those crap 9006 bulbs. I have a pair of modified 9005 bulbs you can have for $10 :). I've only had them in the car for 2 months.

I will contact him thanks :)

I tried the 9005 convert, it didn't make a huge differance and they burn out quicker. Thanks for the advice though.

Awesome ride.
