Do not do business with Europeanplates.com. I ordered a plate from them six weeks ago, and all I have for my money is a bunch of rhetoric from some guy called Tyler Edmondson. I never received a tracking number and was never informed that it was even shipped. Their website says they will ship within seven days. I don't think it takes five weeks to get something from Seattle to here. I have requested a refund, which has been refused.

Thanks for the heads up though. Hopefully you can get your freund. There's a lot of jerk companies out there.

Aren't they a sponsor of this msg board? That's pretty shitty that they're not cooporating with you... I doubt they'll get any business from this board unless they make it right with you...

Well, I'm going down to Seattle later this year for the events, so if this guy shows up, he's going to hear it from me.

Is this event the picnic? if so I might go this year... I went the first year but missed the second.

I'm surprised to hear that... he's been true to his word everytime before this one.

Hey Vince,
It's me again.. I saw your post on another forum.

I thought I would just let the rest of BimmerClassics know that Vince is NOT alone. I have had the same bad experience with Tyler. Rather than re-hash all the details here, I'll refer you to a 'review' I made about Tyler's 'business' over at ResellerRatings (http://www.resellerratings.com/seller7822.html).

If you can't be bothered reading it, then understand that 138 days have passed (18 weeks) since I placed my order. Over 14+ emails and a few phone calls, etc.. and still nothing to show for it.

I encourage everyone to think twice before purchasing from EuropeanPlates (Tyler's 'business')

Hmmm, interesting, rpertusio, I guess I'm not the only one getting the shaft from this clown. I will be in Seattle this summer, so I will be looking for this guy.

I got a response from 'Tyler'. He says there have been "numerous mails to the post office on my order", but of course still hasn't provided me a "delivery confirmation number" which he claims is on all shipments. He thinks it is time to refund my money, even though I had requested a refund over a month ago. (Note: Still no sign of a refund or confirmation number.)

If the fault is really on the post office, then I will apologize... but I have never had problems before. I honestly think Tyler just got sick of me asking where my order was, and just hoped I would go away. :p Not likely.

I'll keep the thread updated...

NEVER give your money away to europeanplates.com!!!!! Its a blackhole where you will never get your stuff.

I too was 'scammed' by europeanplates.com, Ordered and paid for NINE weeks ago and still no sign of my stuff. A person emailing as Tyler (website owner) is a low-life.

I got a bunch of emails for this Tyler guy with all sorts of evasive tricks. Saying he sent it out and has a custom label number and took three weeks to show it with no way of proofing delivery! The website said he uses UPS to deliver stuff, then where is the tracking number! What B$ is a custom label number?!?!?! Can it be used to track my package?!?! What lies?!?!

Don't be fooled by europeanplates.com. They are operating the same scam but on different websites. Germanplates. com, etc etc.

Don't be scammed by europeanplates.com.

Good luck with EuropeanPlates. Don't give up! It took over 6 months for me to get my plate.

Let's get this straight. We here at Europeanplates have sell huge volume of plates and with any company we have mistakes, delay, etc. This increases with our volume. Second the word scam is being used very loosely and is indeed not even the case in any of our transactions. Vince received is order and he may confirm or not that it was in fact shipped and received and held by customs ,again no excuses we had an issue on the order and it took longer then it should have. Once again the order that took 6 months was another mistake and was received and was our fault. The current persons order has been sent, tons of emails have gone back and forth and the customs label has been sent to him as well proofing it is on its way. BTW he is in the UK. I have not control over customs and how long it takes USPS to get out order overseas.

We do our best to control delays and inform on shipping times. I am said to say but this is not a retail business where you come in to buy something and walk out the door, these are mostly custom items, stamped and made by real people and yes take time especially when we are running off 20-25 plates a day on top of our wholesales business.

Also and added to our companies profile we do tons of shows, group buys and donate items for charities. These have all been great successes and I feel most people who have meet me and know my character will agree I am not out just to make money but also friends and to have some fun.

Please add what you may but I am very happy with what our company does and the people I have meet and still do business with.

Thank you,

Tyler Edmondson – Owner

It's admirable that you stand up for your product and try to explain the problems that other have faced. But that post was one of THE hardest things I've ever had to read.

The EP website looks legitimate and sincere. That's why I happily parted with my money to get some plates. It's my hard earned money.

I realise now that its a trap! I don't care what Tyler says. I don't trust people who talks back while keeping my money!

I hope Tyler can stop all his evasive tricks and be honest with me FOR ONCE!!!

I just want my stuff, in my hands NOW. Its been more than 10 weeks.

If Tyler is sincere in doing online business, DELIVER my stuff to me NOW.

You are holding ransom to my money, Tyler! That is illegal, I believe.

I wanted to add one last thing. This user watch it is now trying to have me pay him 25 dollars to retract his post and say something nice. This is all part of running a business and with online fourms and such people can say what ever they want. Anyway I think people who have ordered understand what our products are and that I am a legitmate business not out to scam anyone.

Thanks again,.

well the only problem here is that your the only one speaking good things about yourself, it seems as though the rest of the community is having bad experiences. Until they speak up and agree with you that they have recieved their items, i don't believe that you will be getting any orders from anyone who has read any of these posts. if you are taking orders that you cannot fufill you should not be taking the orders, you should not be running a business that makes this many mistakes, i dont care what your business does. organization should be first on your priority if you plan on keeping your company, of course after you fix all of these messed up orders...

Guys, I'm not sure why this old thread has been brought up again, but I did eventually receive my plate from Tyler, and it was a quality product. Unfortunately, I lost it when I crashed my car last spring.

Help! Consumers have the right to ask for a refund if level of service or products is unacceptable. Now, ten weeks has passed and no sight of delivery. USPS has tracking options. Why not use it? I am sure customers are willing to pay for it. Why use customs labels?!?!

Probably the next step this company is considering is to threaten to use lawyers to silent off unhappy customers. Would this be a smart move?

Companies who KNOWS that it has done some wrong offer compensation to redeem itself, toright the wrongs. Companies make mistakes all the time. Great companies own up to it and make good changes to the organisation.

But this company is going too far! I rather get a refund and forget about the whole thing and order from someone else. It will be a bonus if a compensation is offered. But I doubt it.

Something gives me the feeling you own a rival euro plates company. You might even put them on your "posh" 911

I hope this post is informative. It is not meant to 'slander' Tyler's company, but some things need to be clarified.

I WILL commend Tyler for finally agreeing that my order was completely screwed up. Yesterday, he offered a full refund. I refused it, as I am not trying to cheat Tyler's company. I just think his company needs much improvement in some key areas.

My plate arrived 6 months after my order. There was a backorder and I was willing to wait "3 weeks" for the shipment of plates to arrive. Those "3 weeks" turned into 26 weeks. There were also weeks at a time where I would receive no response from Tyler, even after repeated emails and attempted phone messages left for EuropeanPlates. (At one point, a month passed without hearing a response from Tyler.)

I only want to warn potential customers of (very) long shipping delays, and lack of communication and response from Tyler and his company.

The Better Business Bureau has an "unsatisfactory" record for EuropeanPlates (www.thebbb.org)

I have spent a few hours compiling all the emails between myself and Tyler. For Tyler's privacy, I have removed all personal information, but otherwise all information remains intact. (I have even left my first and last name. I am not trying to hide anything.) From this compilation of emails, I hope those who are reading this topic can make their own informed decision about EuropeanPlates.

All emails between myself and Tyler:
http://www.raincube.com/misc/europeanplates.html

Summary: Although I am happy with the product I (eventually) did receive... I cannot recommend his company until shipping issues are diminished and communications are improved.

For those interested in more information... A google search reveals more people with shipping/communication issues. I invite everyone to decide for themselves. These are the first 8 items I found:
