When CG did your brake calipers, did they paint them or power coat them?
I'm think of getting all the parts I want powder coated done next week while it's in the shop getting serviced *again* sigh :(
tks

They were powdercoated and rebuilt before getting the stainless lines put on. Before they were redone they looked like they had been dredged from a swamp, so definitely worth it if you have open-style wheel castings.

Brandon at CG said Rudy will probably just paint them because they don't need to be rebuilt... I'm not really wanting just regular paint, what do you think? Should I go for the x-drilled rotors? what brake set up do you have and are you happy? I'm think I should just save my cash and use oem rotors and mintex pads.
any opinions?

well i have pbr metal master pads....love them, and brembo rotors. i love my brakes, flushed my system a couple weeks ago with dot 4 and i'm good to go.
as long as you get brembo rotors you will be fine, they are the same as the rotors bmw gives you. btw if u need powder coating let me know i can get it done pretty cheap.

Spaz,
how cheap is cheap? I could always ask CG to send it to your guy if it's alot cheaper.
For example what would 4 rotors, valve cover, and maybe intake manifold cost approx?

I'm also running Brembo rotors with Metalmaster pads, definitely an excellent setup, with very little dusting under hard braking as well.
mike i'll call the guy tomorrow. i'll let you know.
