I really like the look of the 5 lug rims but it looks like that car is really stripped for racing

Makes you think about shedding some weight... ?

Though, I'm fairly certain the absence of inner-bumper trim isn't exactly going to remarkably improve your track times... :D

Are you eyeing-up those wheels in particular?

looks more like it was stripped for paint or something. but it does look really nice. I'd love to go 5 lug:( i was thinking... couldn't you do it with just getting e30 m3 hubs and getting custom wheel bearings made?

You can have sleeves machined to go over the e30 spindle and match the internal diameter of the 5 bolt hub/bearing. A friend of mine did it for his racecar. Tolerances will have to be checked carefully. Measure them so that the sleeve will only fit the spindle if the spindle is frozen (contracted), or hydraulically pressed in. if your bro has a precision machineshop, it is time to go and talk to him. Bring along a 6 pack of German beer.

not only does he have a precision machine shop but i work at it and am allowed to make whatever i want:) i will have to look into this when i get home. since i've made my rim connections already i can order them from home for the same price as here if it doesn't work out...

thanks for the info! if you can get me any measurments or diagrams it would be greatly appreciated!

Don't trust anybody to take measurements for you. Take an e30 spindle and measure it. Then take an e36 spindle and do the same.
