Like a Clio on Steroids...!
I wonder if BMW will be bonkers/imaginative enough to come back with something as insane...?

I'm confused by the article, are they making it as a one off or are they making it for production?

I know, that article on Pistonheads doesn't tell you a whole heck of a lot. My guess would be a one-off prototype (or 3, just in case) shown at Geneva or something. Gauge public opinion/interest, check the pre-order books and then go from there.
Definitely has similarities to a 'toughened-up' Renault Clio. It just surprised me to see something so incredibly loony-toons being sanctioned by a high-volume car-maker. The eventual price-tag though, will probably also be utterly ridiculous.
