That looks like a killer deal. e30 in general have been getting cheaper recently but it looks like the cabrio's have really come down in price as they were holding their value well until recently.

that's what i thought. i was uber interested in the one Jordan's got, but i just can't afford to drop a whole new exhaust into it. bmw exhaust systems are f'in expensive unless you go ansa, but expect it to last a year. don't worry Al, i won't make you do another system for me! hahaha.
on a side note, sorry mods for causing you to have to move the thread. i should've known better.
edit: btw, if i don't buy this car tomorrow, i'll let you guys know why so that others won't waste their time.

yeah, ok i definitely didn't buy it. the sellers were nice folks; however the car is veeeerrrry rough. The rear quarters are in need of some serious grafting work, and the front drivers window doesn't close all the way, causing a lot of water damage to the drivers foot well. oh, and the seats and quite a few panels were toast. mechanically it sounded nice without any timing chain rattle (all service work had been meticulously done). shifter was tight, and it had an mtech II wheel (not in great shape). they cared for the car mechanically for sure, but when it came to looks they just didn't give a damn. it may be worth the work of pulling/replacing the carpet and panelling, with some quick body work, but it'd have to be selling for about 1500-2000 to make it financially viable. there is at least 2000 dollars of work that needs to be done.
guess im back to looking. haha
Thanks for the review, I was procrastinating on looking. $3500 sounded to good to be true, guess m back to looking as well.

If things sound too good to be true, they usually are. I always go by you get what you pay for.

yeah but if you're not too eager to pull the trigger, it's always worth a quick look. you'll never know what you'll find. just because a car is expensive doesn't mean that it's going to be clean. i guess i just try to find a good deal, and if it needs a little elbow grease i don't mind. (just thousands at once isn't my thing)
