Just curious what other people are getting as far as L/100 kms with a 5spd e30 325i (mine is the Touring). I changed out my O2 sensor back in November and now I'm using ~ 15L/100km in the city which is quite bad considering I was using say 9-12 L/100km last summer/fall. I'm also thinking problems with the fuel pressure regulator and/or coolant temp sensor (leading to a rich fuel mixture to the injectors) but I've yet to attempt to solve that part. I'm fairly convinced that BowWow sold me a dud O2 sensor.

Cheers,

JA

I'm getting about 13.6 in the city (according to the OBC), which I still feel is a little excessive, but then I have a lead foot. Have you gone through the regular tune-up routine (plugs, rotor, cap, etc...)?

Yeah, I did plugs, wires, roter, dist cap last summer. What I've really noticed is the 'excessive' fuel consumption coincides nicely with the O2 replacment & the colder weather the past few months. I'm going to put the old (should be still functioning) O2 sensor back in and see what happens. I don't have the OBC (very old school with the analog clock) so I do the fuel calc's manually. Still pushing 15L/100 which even in the city seems out of wack

I'm getting really shitty gas milage now. I had this problem before where I could barely get 260Km on a full tank of gas. I took the car to a bunch of places here in Vancouver but no one seemed to know what they were doing. I took it to Auburn Foreign car in the US and they said the O2 sensor wasn't connected properly. After they fixed it I drove from Auburn to Whistler and back to Squamish on 1 tank of gas, over 500Km's. Now suddenly I am back to getting shitty gas milage, Vince and I drove to Squamish today and I used up almost half a tank. I guess I am getting around 17-20L/100km right now. I sure hope CG can fix it this time.

i just got 450 out of a tank but i put 17's on it which are heavy and custom ground cams which really maker her come alive like a bat out of hell i can get custom cams ground for any of the bimmers. i get regridns which are better cause the cams are harder then the shrick cams and any other cams so they'r even better cause they wont wear out as quick. so its pretty sweet im really happy with the power increase. i could do it for anyone who wants i ahve to call my friend and see if he has a spec for your car first tho.

can he match after market grinds? like say for a schrick 276/284 for a m3? or even the evo3 272, and the evo 2 248

My last tank was 15L/100km... mostly city, short drives in rush hour.

I was quite surprised to find that, even though I have a chip and cam, the mileage indicator on the dash seems to gauge my fuel usage pretty accurately.

only if he has the profiles, or if he can get them. if you have an evo cam he could make a profile from it and then grind as many as you want. i could call him and ask what he has for it, whats the motor in those things again? S14? can't remember. what year?
