So I'm trying to fit a Sparco bar on my 325 but there is a piece of the throttle cable/mount that is in the way, anyone ever dealt with this? Is there some alternate piece necessary for clearance on the throttle?

hmm as far as I know, 325/M3 owners have no problems fitting the Sparco bar on.
I was looking at some pictures though, and well..it's self-explanatory.

Yeah, it is self-explanatory,and yet...
Strange.
where the curve is in the throttle linkage is in that picture-it's much closer on mine. The Sparco actually comes in contact with the top of it about 15mm into the bend, whereas in the pic there's miles of clearance.

my car doesn't have cruise, so I didn't have any trouble installing it. I also installed one on anthony's M3, no probs there. Try bending the bracket a bit, the cable won't mind a mild bend. If not, let me look at it and maybe I can convince it out of the way.

DOH! My 'convincing' just broke that little plastic piece that feeds the elbow into the bracket. :bigcry:
So makeshift repairs with some crazy glue for now-where's the best place to get odd little replacement pieces like this-from BMW dealers?

kevin, sorry that you are having problems with this. I feel kinda bad... check out r3vlimited.com as well, because majority of the people who have a strut bar are running Sparcos. Someone should have a helpful hint.

No worries Hiro, don't feel bad; I don't blame you at all. I know it's a standard thing, I just need to find out why mine is different.
Hell, I'll probably be hitting you up for any parts you still have after the sale of yours.
