Hi guys, can anyone please tell me exactly what the "changeover "relays fuction is. It's an '85 318i and it's located to the right of the 3 relays inside the drivers front fender under the hood. The problem I have is the car keeps either missing on cutting out at which time I'm aware of the relay clicking , if I tap the relay it seems to run ok for a few days until it acts up again. The number on the relay is "siemens 1708511"

i might have a spare one of those iv got like 6 of them in my garadge i re-wired all the relays so it can use hella ones which are 1/3 the cost of the stock ones.

Thanks for the offer , however I took a ride up Island on Sat and was able to pick one up for $75, seems to have cured the problem so far at least, keeping our fingers crossed though as it's fooled us before :rolleyes:
