Anyone know what bulb goes behind the clock display on a 328i (95), the one taken out is too worn to show the wattage and ampage, thanks.
Paul.

Most likely it's a standard 5w wedge bulb. The most common bulb at any auto parts store. Bring it in and they'll give you a new one. If its not you'll know right away, it'll either be too dark or too bright. Then just take it back and tell them they screwed up and get a refund. When I redid the bulbs in my instrument panel I thought I'd have to spend a fortune at the Stealership but I was told from several reliable sources that the bulbs are generic. I assume E36s would be no different.

Thanks, I'm assuming then it's not a reduced voltage ? regular 12v 5 watt ?

Apparently they're 3 or 1.2 watts. The auto parts store will prob be able to tell based on the size.

The three cluster illumination bulbs are 12V 3W, and the indicator/mileage/OBC bulbs are the 12 1.2W all made by OSRAM.

The 12V 3W bulbs can be found at your local automotive stores...Lordco, CanTire etc....

The 1.2W can be obtain at the dealer..
