Ok.
Here is my tentative exterior plan for this car...
Shadow the chrome around the windows and windshield. Leave the chrome bumpers and moldings and kidney. Leave the bumper and fender lights amber. Change the headlights from early euro to euro smiley. Get the euro baskets redone with a silver lip and with a nagaro silver centre. Paint the door handles and mirrors body colour.
What do you all think?
I have posted for some photoshop help on R3V so if I get some bites I'll post the results.
I dunno-ooo. Your car is pretty hot (and rare) as it is. Why make it look like everyone else's? I think that the chrome shadowline trim balances nicely with those nice tucked chrome bumpers and rub strips. I really like the wheels and (very cool) headlights as-is, too. Sorry!
Having said that, if you're just itching to make some changes, maybe make them something that will be easy to change back to stock down the road. How about just colour-coding the door handles and side mirrors? OR, spend the dough on getting the upholstery looking perfecto....

I would leave the window trim chrome, as it matches your bumpers. Definitely paint the side mirrors body color and maybe look into smoked turn signals, front and side.

She'll be hot no matter what you do, but in my opinion, I'd do the wheels and leave the rest.

Agreed, keep it Euro.
On a related note, nogaro weaves look sweet, I want to do that next time I need new tires

I'd paint the mirrors, get 15" ronals LS wheels and leave it as is...

It went from a cool Euro E30 to a hot NA E30.
I think I preferred the uniqueness of the Euro bits, but it looks great nonetheless.

The second car is a full on euro car. The only difference is the m-tech 1 front spoiler and the shade of red. My car has the earlier spoiler. De-chroming the car really changes the look.
I am still having a tough time deciding which way to go.

Ya I realize they're both Euro, but the second one has a bunch of "American-style" mods done to it.

It's interesting that you say that. I have been looking at these pics all weekend trying to decide which 'look' I prefer. The NA style car seems more updated and current to me. The chrome style seems more classic and to me it stands out more as a euro car. I think the NA style would more easily be mistaken for an NA car. It is also interesting which parts of the car stand out and which blend in with the different schemes.
It’s really tough to decide because the different looks create such different cars and there is no cost effective way to go back if you change your mind.
