I'm stripping down my intake manifold to get ready for sand blasting and powder coating but I can't seem to get the injectors loose? I thought they were just pressed in?
tks

the c clips on the fuel rail have to come off then you can pull the rail off, then you just pull the injectors out, they may be a little hard to get out due to the 14 years they've been there, but the will pull. you probably want new rubber O-rings on them.
ps: this is a perfect time to get 19#'s....

Thanks for the info, I managed to get it off.
I bought this manifold from The Euro Depot and it came with the fuel rail, injectors, and throttle body attached. Since I didn't need the injectors or the fuel rail I just poped them off from the inside of the manifold with an socket extension and a hammer. Those parts were garbage any ways. I'm keeping the throttle body to sell on ebay (If I can) as it still looks good.
I'm staying with my original injectors unless CG says otherwise, and I don't want to change the flow rate either, stock is fine with me.
I should be getting the valve cover and both halves of the manifold back next week (maybe sooner). I'm looking forward to having my engine bay looking as sharp as the outside. I spent a couple hours last weekend degreasing everything and cleaning the paint so it's just about done.

Mike,
I saw your powder coated cover in another thread and damn near contacted you for the source of the job. I've got a spare intake and valve cover and might be interested. In the meantime I had to replace my intake manifold gaskets and while I was at it cleaned and painted by intake and valve cover with Black engine enamal. Take a peak, I think it came out pretty well for something that (as my daughter so correctly stated) no one ever sees.

BC Mike, I will be getting my intake mainifold and valve cover powedercoated in the next few weeks, if you are interested, let me know. Price difference to do 4 parts as opposed to 2 isn't that much (as long as its the same color and everything...)

My parts were done by Daryl at RIP powder coating 778-388-9364. He's a cool old guy who builds hotrods and custom vehicles for the movie industry.
