Australian E36 318is

Good Day All

This is my second post on the forum, bought my first bmw, a 1997 E36 318is about two months ago. Since then I’ve been cleaning/restoring it back to its original condition. Just needed lots of TLC, and the previous owner had replaced the stereo with an aftermarket one (a pioneer, not a bad brand, except that it was silver and didn’t match the dashboard). I started to look around for the correct system for the car, with no luck in my area. By chance the radiator decided to go, and while I was getting it repaired, I mentioned to the auto repairer that I was looking for a stereo for the car, he just happened to have a one with a matching Cd stacker out of a e36 M3. This is now fitted, and after ordering the audio cable from Bmw, works like a dream.

The rims came from a mate with a 318ti, changed the whole look of the original car, they just need to be a bit bigger, looking for the same style but in 17".

After that maybe a m-tech body kit, and then to top it all off, an ibach suspension kit.

It probably won't end there, lets see where it takes us.

Richard

The new 17" rims and 225/45/17R tyres have now been fitted, next mod is the eibach pro suspension kit (unfortunately eight weeks away, none in australia).
